AR Rahman warns slanderers, gives ’24 hours’ ultimatum to remove defamatory content

These announcements sparked speculation about the two and were linked by netizens. Now, keeping all the rumours aside, AR Rahman has issued a legal notice addressing those spreading defamatory and objectionable content targeting him and his family.

He shared the legal notice on X and wrote, “Notice to all slanderers from ARR’s Legal Team. My client informs the hatemongers and sharers of abusive content to remove the objectionable content within the next one hour and a maximum time duration of 24 hours.”

The Ok Jaanu singer has given a 24-hour window for removing such content and warns that noncompliance may have legal repercussions. The notice also states, “We had hoped to reach the grand thirty, but all things, it seems, carry an unseen end. Even the throne of God might tremble at the weight of broken hearts. Yet, in this shattering, we seek meaning, though the pieces may not find their place again.”

According to Rahman’s legal team, these people’s acts distressed his family in addition to damaging his reputation. The notice reads, “This only shows the social media persons who intend to harm the reputation of my client are being content starved for their productions and are inventing highly imaginary and false stories to defame my client merely for their cheap short-lived publicity.”

AR Rahman tied the knot with Saira Banu in 1995. They are parents to three children – Khatija, Raheema and Ameen.
